Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has announced
that its Roseville, Calif., service center can now perform calibrations with
accredited measurements on microwave instruments up to 67 GHz as well as
optical instruments. The Roseville scope-of-accreditation now
includes 50 measurement parameters.
The 67-GHz microwave power capability
allows the center to perform accredited calibrations of power sensors, signal
generators, and network analyzers that operate up to that frequency. New
optical parameters and humidity accreditation allow the center to calibrate laser
systems that include humidity sensors, as well as optical power sensors and
laser sources.
"Regardless of which calibration
service a customer selects, we strive to ensure that all measurements required
for the instrument are covered in the scope of accreditation for the site
performing the calibration," said Steve Aleshire, vice president of
Agilent Americas Service Operations. "This ensures that external auditors
have verified proper measurement technique, and that we use accurate lab standards
with proven traceability to SI units."
All Agilent service centers and mobile
calibration teams in the Americas are accredited by ACLASS or A2LA to ISO/IEC
17025:2005, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006. For more
