Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) recently
announced that its U1901A GS-8800 LTE conformance test platform,
registered with the Global Certification Forum, has met the Test Platform
Approval Criteria (TPAC) for Band 13. In addition, the GS-8800 design
verification system now has the ability to do TDD LTE RF measurements.
TPAC certification means the Agilent
GS-8800 LTE conformance test platform enables users to meet their needs for
development, regression and certification testing with access to more than 80
percent of certified test cases for Band 13, before initiating the final
conformance test.
"Achieving TPAC on the GS-8800 is
an exciting new milestone for our conformance test solutions," said
Garrett Lees, marketing manager, Mobile Broadband Operation, Agilent.
"This enables users to perform comprehensive LTE conformance testing, and
bring their products to market faster and more reliably."
The ability to do new TDD LTE RF
measurements makes the GS-8800 a more versatile multi-format, multi-band and
multi-mode system. The GS-8800 enables equipment designers to perform TDD LTE
RF measurements during early design stages, and reduce costly product re-design
before conformance testing.
The expanded FDD and TDD LTE test
coverage on the GS-8800, with more test cases and bands, provides users
seamless upgrades on their current installed 2G/3G systems to LTE.
